Hot Yoga is a series of yoga postures and breathing exercises conducted in a room heated to 90 degrees. In the heat you relax and this allows for a safer way to stretch your muscles, tendons, ligaments, while going deeper into your practice than ever before. During your practice your internal body heat rises causing you to perspire. The perspiration will help flush toxins and cleanse your bodily systems.
You will leave the workshop feeling cleaner, lighter and more invigorated.
Benefits to practicing HOT YOGA include:
· Promotes Weight loss-calorie burning
· Detoxifies your system
· Relieves Stress
· Tones your body
· Improves strength, flexibility and balance
· Creates a mind and body balance
Bring a large towel, bottled water, change of clothes, a big smile and a friend!

She spent the summer of 1999 completing a clinical internship in hospitals in Bejing and Chegdu. Ms. Cameron practiced as a registered nurse for more 20 years before returning to school to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of Science in Nursing degree in oncology (cancer) nursing from Gwnedd-Mercy College. Ms. Cameron is licensed as an acupuncturist by the NC Acupuncture Licensing Board. She served as a Board Member of the NCALB from 12/2002-6/2008. She is recognized as a Diplomat in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She maintains her licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Oriental Medicine is based on the concept that harmony and balance is necessary for good health.
Participants will explore the anatomy of stress and it's effects on their body. You begin to assess 'the balance' in your life and how and where you could use some adjustments. It's important to have a chest full of tools to use for your self care. In this class you will learn a guided Qi gong mediation called the Smiling Practice. Qi gong is the practice of internal energy development. The Smiling Practice helps cultivate and balance your qi or life energy.
How often have you heard "Your are what you eat". Find out some basics about your digestive system and learn about digestive enzymes, probiotics and EFA'S. We learn how to use easy movements to release stress and aid our digestion.
Understanding how you can bring balance to your mind, body, and spirit allows you to enjoy the richness of your life.
We had a great Labor Day! Thanks to all who attended.
